Default Exhaust and the Police.

I have been considering adding aftermarket exhaust to my S. I want nothing too loud that would attract attention. I am considering three; Fuji Legalis R , Invidia Q300 and the Tanabe Concept G.

My problem is that when I drive this car I use more of the rev band all the time then some might. I shift between 4,500 and 5,000 most of the time and hold gears (ie stay in 4th when some would shift to 5th) and I am afraid this combination of driving and exhaust would get me in trouble with the police.

The worst part of my decision is that I like the look and the sound of the Concept G the best.

My question to the Mid A community (mainly in NO VA) is this. What exhaust do you have or have you had? And what problems have you had with John Law because of it?

Thanks!

I have the SuperSprint exhaust for the S2000 -- has a nice low tone to it, but it quiets down pretty quickly so shifting at high RPMs shouldn't be a problem. *knock on wood* so far I haven't had any issues with the police.

Fujitsubo is also supposed to be pretty tame.

I have the invidia, haven't had any problems with the po-po (knock on wood), but then again I don't live in VA.

yea I wouldn't recommend the invidia if you were worried about noise, I'm just saying I haven't been pulled over for it.

I have the T1R-EM 70mm dual - very controllable and no issues with police so far ... I think my intake is louder. I'm in NOVA.
