Here the deal and I am going to say this nicer than most anyone else...these kind of threads pop up here all the time. They usually go "I broke law _______ because I did _______ to my car. Now I have a ticket. Should I _____ it?"

The reason some are going ape shit on you is that when you mod your car, you and you alone, are knowingly breaking the law and making your car illegal in some way. Sometimes you get busted, sometimes you dont. But it goes with the territory. Do not get mad, or (appear to )call names when it happens.

It was not very clear at all in your first post you were simply looking for what law you broke. If that is the case, most would help you along your way. But it seemed in your post that you were pissed you got caught.

BTW, Invidias = test pipe = loud as shit = reason for cop to pull you over. Loud at any rpm. I think the cop was running your info in the tmie he was following you.

Hope this helps...

some cops are DEFINATELY biased when it comes to pulling over cars for exhausts. my friend has a super loud mustang (louder than my invidia with TP) and he never gets in trouble for it even when he is already pulled over. me on the other hand, i took it off bc i was getting too many tickets.

For the record, there is no specific decibel level that is automatically illegal in Virginia. It's pretty much entirely up to the police officer's discretion. And yes, I do think that is a little unfair... because we all have heard the lifted trucks, Harleys, and big muscle cars with exhaust notes that put an Invidia to shame... but the law is the law.

Pay your ticket and be done with the whole thing.

No need to belittle each other, remember, this is the internet

We do not accept the name calling of police officers in the mid-a.
