Default exit 55A off I-66W

Exit 55A off I-66W to get onto the fairfax county parkway (south towards springfield) is a nice long sweeper, with a decrease in radius at the end right before you merge with the parkway -- is anyone here familiar with it? it's a fun one to take really fast in your S2000 (or any other nice handling car), as long as no one is in front of you to slow you down. i'm new to the S, so just out of curiosity, was wondering how fast have you gone through it? i bet some of you more skilled drivers could really take this at insanely fast speeds. anyhow, just curious. be safe out there on the public roads!

only about 60mph....with these ramps im scared because the roads are so horribly built and theres even bumps and stuff...im more scared of the uneven roads than the speed at which I could make the turn

I have 2 ramps that I really like around here. Probably just because I drive them so often, but I've gotten pretty good at both.

One is from Toll Road (267) West to 28 S. It starts out tight and is hard to go faster than 40-45, but then straightens out before curving again. At that straight, it's easy to get up to 75+ before hitting the brakes again if you came into it w/ good exit speed and in the right gear.

The other is from 28 S to 50 W. That ramp is awesome. I did the whole thing without dropping below 65 at any point last week. I could probably do 70, but I don't want to hit some gravel and end up in a concrete barrier...

Be verrrrrrrrry careful on the exit ramps. See my other thread regarding what can happen to your precious S should you go into the guardrail.

Hopefully I'll have mine back by the end of the week.

28 south to 50 east is a great one. If I'm in the mood I'll do 60+ the whole way, it's a lot of fun.

Easy does her.....

Wow. Maybe your new suspension, wheels and tires give you better traction or maybe you're just a bit crazier than I am, but I don't think I'd try 60+ through that one. Yikes.

btw try out popes head road(connects to the parkway(going 7100 SOUTH) after the braddock road exit), i think you might enjoy it. take it slow the first couple of times you run through it, it's very tricky at first.
Also, be VERY careful to look for deer if you're driving Pope's Head. That road and Clifton Road and a number of the fun twisties in that area are loaded with deer, especially around dusk and after dark.
