Default Failed my inspection :(

It was bound to happen, but I suppose it could have been worse. Here are the reasons for failing:
1) Hole in exhaust -- A tiny 1/16" hole in the weld that originally held the Invidia nametag on. I plan on trying to make a quick fix with some JB-Weld.
2) Not an OEM or OEM-equivalent exhaust -- The lack of baffles inside the pipes seemed to be the issue. Not positive, but it looks like I can resolve this one with some silencers (which I needed to buy a new pair of anyway).
3) Missing license light -- Forgot to put it back on once the Veilside kit was on... easy to solve.
4) Front brake lines aren't secured -- No mounting point on the Buddy Clubs for my SS lines, so mount just slides along line. I'll put the stock units back on, which has the mounting points and will make getting it on the lift easier (which was a HUGE PITA). Interestingly enough, looking up in there showed me my driver's front damper was leaking, so I'll be shipping those back to Buddy Club for a rebuild while they're off the car.
5) Passenger headlight won't go down far enough -- Driver's side is fine, but passenger side doesn't have enough adjustment left. I'll add a washer or two to the top mounting point to get it into spec.

All things considered not a bad deal, but it does mean one weekend fixing it all, including putting the stock shocks on, and another weekend swapping my Buddy Clubs back in once they're returned from the factory.

My car is becoming a permanent fixture in Mike's garage

Sorry to hear that it did not pass. How about the CEL, did the air pump work? I am picking up the aluminum for the hood on Friday night. Saturday would be a good day to swap out your coilovers (I just love swapping out coilovers!!!!).

Yep, first (and hopefully only) inspection.

Mike, I never heard the pump come on and the CEL is back... looks like we'll have to go through the testing process after all So I take it your brother is back in action? Let me know what you want to do with the hood and we can play with some templates. Oh, and I also have a few pics that might be worthwhile for FC'07.

I asked about tie wraps... the reply was a pretty succinct 'no'. I plan on fabricating a true mount once the BCs are off of the car, but it's not a problem with the stock dampers anyway. At the moment I'm just waiting for info on who I need to send my BCs to for a rebuild.

Is your air pump toast? Because I have an extra that's been off the car for years.

The pump I installed should still be good, but I just thought of something a little earlier... isn't there a fuse somewhere in the system? I never checked it, and if the last pump froze it very well could have blown the fuse. I need to check that... it's probably in one of the underhood fuse boxes.

Yeah I think it is under the hood.
If your pump is toast, let me know.

Dan,

I forgot Saturday is the Mods Day at Jeff's and I was planning on attending. We could still change out the shocks on Sunday. Adam and I will be home all day.
