The event is a Friday-Sunday afternoon deal. Folks have paid good money to help this meet happen, not to mention all of the volunteered help. It really isn't fair for "drop-ins" to reap what others have sown. We'd love to have you, however, at the same cost as everyone else.

oh no i totally understand what is meant by that. its just that i figured that becuase i only lived 45 min away i wouldnt have to rent a hotel room. totally forgot about the cost of the event. just becuase i live 45 min away doesnt mean that i shouldnt have to pay to go to the event.

We'd love to have you! There is no requirement to stay at the hotel. I encourage it for the "locals" simply to avoid drinking-n-driving. If one person get nabbed doing something stupid, we'll all be targeted.
