Someone please lock this off-topic thread.

George, please start a new one with current info. Thanks.
George, if you take this off-the-cuff suggestion, please include a *notice* post on this thread and a link to the new thread. That will keep everyone who has expressed an interest 'in the loop'. There are a lot of good ideas in this thread....a shame to lose them

I'm interested, but after taking vacation for Dragon Ball it might be tough to get some more time off that soon.

Non-S2000's accepted?

Ok thread closed for now until the details are FINALIZED. Other Fall drive idea's such as Ricks need to be on a seperate thread.

This is what is the works

DATE Oct 27th-29th

PLACE Rocky Gap resort

Rocky Gap

EVENT SCHEDULE

SAT AM , A nice Fall colors drive in MD, West Va and PA, Routes TBD, This could be a self lead drive much like the Dragon.

SAT PM Banquet dinner and optional

Sunday, optional Auto Cross (it's up to you to register for this)

Cumberland AutoX

http://www.nationalroadrally.com/pdf/2006P...nCarveEntry.pdf

I am trying to work out a price menu with the resort, they can handle a ton of people however they are little pricy.

I want to offer a Room rate for Friday and Saturday and a price for the dinner (of some folks just want to have the dinner)

If it works out, everyone will pay the resort directly (other than the AutoX) . I will not be collecting any money.

Thanks for your patience; the resort has been a little slow in responding.

George

Exceptions can be made for a test drive.

Re-opening this Thread

I have been back and forth with the Sales Manager at the Rocky Gap resort

They came back with a rate of $232 per person per night, which includes a breakfast and a banquet dinner.

I asked her to break this down for Friday night cost, Saturday night cost and dinner only. No breakfast

So far she has not been able to comply

I think this is a bit pricy, I asked her to get back to me today

As it is maybe we should look for a more affordable place

Cumberland Holiday Inn

What does everyone think?

I think for $232 a night, I can get a chauffer and come in a limo. That's a bit pricey.

OK now the Rocky Gap resort is coming around

This is now looking a lot better

We are looking at a room rate of $ 110.00 (2 people can share @ $55 each)

The dinner will run about $ 30 per person

They are sending me a menu and a proposal.
