I am moving to maryland in just a couple weeks, currently in Ohio, but I was wondering what the fine is for not using a front plate? In Ohio, it's $70. I have never had one on any of my cars because honestly I think they're ugly. I've paid the fine a few times, and I'll do it again before I put it on, unless in maryland it's a rediculous amount? I'm sure someone has experience with this!

 

i don't know what the fine is but i'm thinking about keeping the front off and getting bumper plugs as well. once my new tags come. livin on the wild side

I had problems with no license tag with my 93lude when I owned it, otherwise, never had any problems with my other cars.

(Got 2 tickets for it in my lude. I missed the court date on one and now it's on my driving record!!)

 

I've paid this ticket more times than I care to admit but since it is always in the place of a worse ticket I'll pay it every time. I haven't had a front tag in 20 years here in Maryland but the only time you get it is when they pull you over for something else.

I was followed home from high school by the school cop. He started following me as I left the school parking lot He was trying to catch me speeding. He followed me for over 5 miles before pulling me over. He ended up pulling me over from BEHIND and giving me a front tag ticket? Wtf. He wanted to get me on more than one thing.

The other time:

I got pulled over for tail gating (coworker at dealership who didn't have a tag on the car). I got ticketed for loud exhaust, taillight being out, front tag, tailgating. I got the works.

(Both of these were in high school in my prelude)

 

I think I got 2 or 3 tickets for no front tags and was pulled over at least 5 times other than that and got harassed and warnings for no front tags I always had some long winded story about my bumper being messed up and me not being able to afford another one right now, lol... This was on my civic though.

I didn't want to deal with that on my S2K so I had planned to get the slanted license plate holder that supposedly directs air to your radiator... Luckily the car I got already came with one

My civic did attract slightly more attention than my S2K right now, so maybe they were just trying to crack down on street racers or something...I dunno... Just letting you know that it all depends on your luck...
