Default Front Plate Enforcement in FF County

So for those of you that live in Fairfax County, is it reasonably safe to remove my front license plate, or do the police like to pull you for this?

What is the penalty for not having a front plate?

Cool - thanks for the info. I pulled the plate off the other day and noticed a huge reduction in heatsoak. As a commuter in rush hour traffic, the heatsoak really gets annoying.

I didn't think the plate would make that much of a difference in an NA car...

x 2. I didn't think it could be an issue in 30 degree weather.

Yeah man, sorry, but the plate cant make much difference for a few reasons.

1) the engineers would design the airflow to account of the plate location
2) even if the engineers didnt account it isnt big enough to make a huge impact
3) sitting in traffic you arent moving fast enough for the plate to really disrupt airflow
4) It's 30 freakin degrees out

they will also ticket you parked on the street in DC for no front plate, even if you've got VA or MD tage. The fine in Maryland is $55.

Okay I can't tell who's being serious and who's not, but....

1. You will get pulled over in FFX county with no plate an dyou will get a ticket.

2. your license plate will not help heat soak because of all the reasons mentioned above
