Front Plate in VA

Yes it's required, and YES it's one of the gayest laws ever but this is Virginia...The only state that screws motorvehicle owners more stringently is California! and lastly, NO I do not have my front plate on...it looks terrible on this car with such a clean front end.
In Virginia:
1. Front plates required, even though most sports cars are not designed to hold them correctly and most of them restrict direct airflow to the radiator/intake. I talked to my friend who is a state trooper and he said that they are trying to keep front plates here because it's easier for radar speed traps to get your speed if you're coming at them because the front plates reflect it so well!
2. Radar detectors are illegal here, one of only 2 states with that law as I am aware
3. Virginia Residents get to pay even more tax every year on every vehicle they own!! woohoo! ...as if income, sales tax (on everything) and real estate tax (on $500,000 3 bed townhomes!) wasn't enough. Even with car tax Northern Virginia still has 3rd worst traffic in the nation and not even half of the roads it needs!
4. Tint over 50% on side windows is illegal...50% tint is barely even tinted!
5. It's illegal in VA to pass on the Right! yes, I just read that this year and I recall it from 10 years ago when I was in drivers ed!
6. ANY and I mean ANY modification to the car that is not an OEM factory part is illegal in Virginia. I just read the chapter and verse on that and that's exactly what it implies.
