Godwin High School here in the west end is raffling off a new Mini! I can post details if anyone's interested. Tickets are $50 a pop. Odds of winning are 1:2,500. If 600 tickets aren't sold, the price reverts to a 50/50 cash prize split between the winner and the SPCA (I think).

Drawing is December 7th.

In October, tickets can be purchased at the following times and locations:

Wednesdays: Ukrops (Short Pump and Gayton Crossing) from 5 to 8 pm
Saturdays: Ukrops (Short Pump and Gayton Crossing) from 10 am to 1 pm
Sundays: Kroger at Gayton Crossing from 11 am to 1 pm and Einstein Brothers' Bagles in Short Pump from 11 am to 1 pm.

They can also be purchased at the Richmond Highland Games on October 26 and 27.

Proceeds benefit SPPA (not SPCA as I wrote earlier); the Short Pump Players Angles (whatever they are).

Grand prize is, of course, a 2002 Mini. Second Place is a DVD player, Third Place is a $100 gift certificate to Circuit City.

Once again, tickets are $50 a pop.

 

the short pump players is the name of the drama club. as a Godwin alumni, i am excited!!!! i will go and help support them and maybe even win something!!!!
