I would certainly find someone above them. With the proper tools there shouldnt be any marks on the wheels. I would think that a Goodyear store they would have those tools.

Theres no such thing as a "low profile" wheel... low profile tire, yes, but not wheel. If they chipped good rims, they need to repair or replace. If they chipped all four, it sounds like the monkey running the machine either didn't care or didn't know how to use it properly. Even with older equipment there is no valid reason for beating up a rim... carelessness, ignorance, or faulty equipment are the only three reasons it should happen, and damages should be taken care of in all three.

If they knew that this was going to happen before hand, they should have disclosed this to the customer.

Definitely pursue this. There's no excuse for that kind of negligence and the manager's reaction is even more unacceptable. Take it to their regional manager and then go from there.

They shouldn't chip the wheels unless they're careless. I had tires mounted on my Volks at Ye Old Wheels shop, and they didn't put a nick on them. I think shops actually carry insurance to cover damanged rims during install.

They carry insurance to cover a lot of liabilities, and yes this should include negligence on the part of their staff.

Correct, Forget what the sign says. They say that to scare away the general public. Just like if a shopping cart hits your car they are liable for it even though they say their not.
