When police officer/state troopers write tickets, there is a section on their copy where they write notes about the violation so they can recollect what happened that day for court. I always put down what the person was wearing, hair style, what they said to me during the incident/stop, and what I saw before I stopped the vehicle.
I was standing beside him in front of the judge and when he MIS-informed the judge about the other cars on the road I looked over to see what he was looking at because I knew it was false information, obviously it was his copy of the ticket and I saw no notes, no writing, nothing written down that he was referring too. I wondered if he was looking at the correct citation but I saw no handwriting at all.

Isn't the ticket supposed to state the points being charged against you along with the fine?

If your car is titled in Md and you got the ticket in Md, there is a 100% percent chance the ticket will carry points and a 100% chance the ticket will be reflected in your driving record. If you get the ticket out of the state you leave in there is pretty good chance you get no points but almost a 90% chance the ticket will go on your record. I guess it all depends where you got your ticket.

Since you seem to live in Md I would go to court and try to avoid this going to your driving record. All insurance companies spend a lot of their money in getting constant updates of our records looking for every little chance to increase their premiums.

I might be mistaken, but I thought points were assigned based on the volation. I have never seen the points listed a ticket before and sure enough I got them. Another thing to keep in mind is that insurance companies don't even care about whichever state's point system. They usually have their own point system.

I got two one point tickets at the same time, which in MD would be a total of one point. My insurance company however saw those as two spearate 4 (insurance company) point violations and I had to pay alot more money because of it.

Also, in Virginia, anything over 80 is automatically reckless.

which i find hilarious, because if you're not going 80 or awful darn close to it on I95, you'll get run over.

Agreed. I love that video. Makes me want to get a group of people together to do that on 495.
