Default Hampton Roads S2K Service

Hi All!
I live in Hampton, VA. I was wondering if I could get some recommendations for where I should get the car serviced. I wasn't all that impressed with Casey Honda last time I was there. Please let me know where you go in the Hampton Roads/VA Beach area.

Thanks a bunch!
Mike

Mike,

I'm just going to hop in here real quick, and knock out what everyone is going to want to say. Most people on S2Ki have had problems with every Hampton Roads Honda Service department. This question has been debated many times before on here.

Being a part of a Honda dealership, I do not want to see this thread turn into another flame.

I am more than happy to help you out at my dealership - you are welcome to PM me.

As Alex stated this is a sore spot in this forum. Do a search and draw your own conclusions.
I have been taking my car to Hall Honda for a couple of months now and have been very pleased with the service department. I've had issues with my car starting, and intially they couldn't replicate the problem and so I had to pick the car up. There wasn't a charge for looking the car over and investigating the problem. The car has continued to have intermittant starting problems. I called them, took the car in and the damn thing started up everytime. However, my service advisor and the tech listened to the symptoms and came to the logical conclusion that the starter is most likely culprit. They are now replacing the starter under warrenty. Realize, that they are taking a chance with AHM. Since it is a warrenty repair, they have to send the part to Honda and Honda investigates it. IF, and there is always a chance, the starter is not defective, they get stuck with the bill. To me, that's says a lot that the dealership is willing to risk it. Also, they fixed my GF's 2nd gear grind. Its a known problem, there is a TSB for it. Eventhough her car was not in the VIN# years, the car was displaying the classic grind so they fixed it... no questions asked. If you go there, ask for Bruce. He's a helluva nice guy.

But on the other hand, I had horrible service at Hall, including them lying about service done during my 15K service. I should have known better, it all started during a "new owner get together", and the service manager told me a bigtime lie right to my face!
