Damn man, that sucks. Seat locks FTW... unless someone who's had their seats jacked used those. Anyone know what's going on with the suspect?

Good luck, Dom, in getting things repaired quickly.

Sorry to hear that. Looks like they have been targeting S2000s that's parked outside. 2 days ago a customer called me up and said his top was slashed and seats stolen from his S2000. Don't think he is a board member, since he didn't know how easy it is to remove the seats in the S. Told him that he should look into getting an aftermarket alarm.

I thought someone made a seat-lock similar to wheel-lock. Can anyone find out about it?
Robert...

PM Kodokan_4. He is the S2ki guy that worked with McGuard to design and sell the seat locks. He will tell you how to order.

Send a PM to Kodokan4 about the McGard locks.

I'm also working on a deal that would allow us to invisibly tag our seats but provide 100% infallible proof that the seats to law enforcement officials. I'll keep everyone updated...

How about secretly placing a very small tag inside the seat with the owners info?

Just spoke with Montrose Towing since the other tow company said I was to low lol ... According to the disbatch lady at MT shes sent out 8 calls in the past few months issued by insurance companies to pick up s2000's, evos, sti's for missing seats. This is getting WAYYYYYYYYYY out of control.

Realizing seat locks would prevent someone from being able to take out the seats, wouldn't a thief already have to slash to top and get into the interior to find that out?

And would an aftermarket alarm prevent this at all?

It seems that the DC Metro Maryland area is experiencing a rash of this crime and it seems only a portion of it is being reported here on the boards. Is there any world that the State Police or other authority organizations are aware of this or at least addressing it?
