i think so, a simple statement saying that my best friend is getting an s2k turned into aggresive statements, but its all good, im just not as cool as all the other peeps, even thoug i swapped my clutch in my driveway

As a linguist in the art of ebonics, I too have never heard another male refer to thier boys as "my best boy". That is all.

The only person making "aggressive" remarks is you. You're the one calling a guy an asshole because he didn't acknowledge you. Then you call me a "weirdo" because I didn't understand your slang. Now, had you in your first post said "your best friend," I guess folks like me might not have been confused. I'm sorry that I'm not so cool as to speak today's lingo. I'm glad that you have friends that have been financially fortunate enough to be able to purchase an S2000. I commend you on performing your own work.

And where the hell jnn4v ever got an "old vs young" confrontation I'll never know. I'm the youngest 39 year old you'll meet. But I'll tell you this, despite my gray hair and increasing wrinkles, other local owners don't give because my car is way modded. No matter how tastefully I believe my modding has been, there is an association(most times appropriate) between modded cars and straight-up punks, thereby reducing the number of we receive in our area.

I didn't think anybody was aggressive. I view learning the things the younger people are saying as an opportunity to learn something new. BTW, I may be vintage, but I've got a looooonng way to go before I'll be over the hill. Also, there aren't too many s2ks in my area, but if you ever drive down my way and you see a little silverstone with a vintage blonde hanging out waving and screaming at you, that's me. I'd be delighted to take a spirited little sprint though the mountains with you. Maybe you can join Skip and I can have two best boys.

Oh best boy, I thought he said Best Buy so I was really confused.

The first post reads much better now and the edited text will totally confuse anybody who reads the rest of this thread in the future.

Alright, no need to be all sensitive. These folks were just messing with you. If you read back at all the statements (minus your own), you'll laugh at it. Just take it with a grain of salt. If this thread takes a turn for the worst, I'll close it out. But for now, congrats to your friends for purchsing a S.
