Help a brother out....test drive at dealer
Hey Guys,
Need urgent help from anyone who is in or near the Cockeyesville area. I like an S2000 and would appreciate who can test drive it, or recommend a good specialist shop who can tell me if anything is wrong with the car.
Thanks all.

Thanks gregory2d for the reply. This will be a blind buy for me. I'm in Canada and before I fly down to pick it up, I just need someone who has an S2000 that can drive the car for me and assure me that it drives as normal. I just dont want to fly down, spend $500 to find out that there was a rip or issue that they didnt disclose (something like gear grind, gear popping out, it's not tracking straight....perhaps does not apply to this model year, but those are the things I would love for someone to checkout).
When my search was narrowed down to 'this is the one, if it checks out', I used a combination of:
1) A Honda dealer may be willing, for a fee, to inspect the vehicle as if it were being considered for a trade-in and provide an evaluation; the whole list below would be covered, except for the compression test ... and/or did the vehicle recently pass the vehicle inspection process of the state/province of the current owner?
2) Have a dealer/shop perform a compression test.
3) Use a checklist for anything not covered by a dealer/shop. I based my list on the list Honda publishes as their used vehicle inpsection checklist. My checklist:
. . . . . as a MS Word document file: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_3Y...it?usp=sharing
. . . . . as a plain text document file: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_3Y...it?usp=sharing
Hope all turns out well!
