Help with Install anyone?
hey guys, I was wondering if anyone here has experience or have done a spoon mirror install? i looked on the forums and they said that you just "pop" out the mirror?!?! i tried pulling but it didnt seem to want to pop out. now im not sure if i needed to pull harder but i just didnt want to mess up my power mirrors in the process. If someone in the area has done this, would you be willing to come help a guy out? I live in Bethesda but id be willing to drive possibly to you also if you know how to do this. Something about popping it out and then blowdryer to it....i can put a turbo into a friend's car but cant install a mirror?!
haha either that or possibly very good detailed instructions as so i dont hurt my car would be great too. can anyone vouch for just as they say "popping it out?"

Use a hair dryer to warm the sticky putty on the back of the mirrow The drivers mirrow is glass and should come off in one piece. The passenger's mirrow is almost like plastic and breaks easy. Suggest turn the hiar dryer on and pry up on the mirrow from the bottom.......
there are a couple of comments about the install in

and I remember seeing a set of instructions on this site, but darn if I can find them now.
Yes you need to heat the mirror with a hair dryer to get the old ones off, you need to scrape the white putty off the old and reuse it on the back of the new mirrow to install on the bracket and then I used a couple of drops of super glue gel on the bottom clip so hold the mirror bracket to the mirror housing.
