use your insurance and get money from them. then you can put your body kit on and have plenty of money for other things.

If the damage is as minor as Skyler makes it sound, this would not be a very smart idea. You'd still have a claim against yourself and a deductible to front. Not worth filing against oneself. It should go against the party that hit him.

what Skip said. And if their insurance is screwing you around on this incident where the other driver is obviously at fault (as well as for whoever you bumped into), report it to YOUR insurance company and let THEM deal with the other jerks. They're much better at it than your or I.

Good luck with it.

though I think you have to pay a deductible up front, then they reimburse you when they get the $ from the other company... at least that's how Progressive works.

If the accident is not your fault, then you should NOT have to pay a single $$$. The other person is fully liable for your damages, regardless of their deductible amount. Make their insurance pay. They should be the ones scared of you, not vice-versa.

You need to inform your insurance company and let them deal with the other guy's insurance company. That's part of what you pay them for. Anytime you are rearended, it's the other person's fault for following too closely. End of story...Good luck!!

That's stupid. Cross P-sive off the "check-other-insurance-companies-rates" list.

When I got hit. GEICO cut me a check, with no deductible. I think the other party has to admit that he hit you, at least that was in my case.
