Default HELP! Rear Plastic Window Installation in Maryland

My S2000 currently cannot pass Maryland State Inspections because of the tear in my rear plastic window as well as it not being too visible.

The only thing from it not leaking is the window tint on the rear window. (thank god)

I am ordering a replacement rear plastic window from Hard Top Guy! (www.hardtopguy.com FTW)

Since this is my 1st time with this problem I was wondering if I could get a few hands together to help me install the new window!

The good people at the Honda dealership were saying that they cant guarantee that it will be water proof if they do it so they tried to sell me a new replacement top and bend me over for for $1900 when the rest of my top is fine.

Anyway if I posted this in the wrong section some1 feel free to reroute me

Thanks again hope to hear from you all soon.

I know the Miata one is a PITA (its sewn in). When I had problems with my back window, I bought a new top with glass and called it a day. All in all, it was actually cheaper to do that, plus I got cloth instead of vinyl, and the window was glass instead of plastic.

I've also seen people get a peice of plexi, cut the old window out, and seal in the new plexi. You have to use aircraft type glue (like whats used to bond a widebody onto a car - its a two part epoxy).

You could always ditch the soft top and get a hardtop! :-D

I don't think the plexi will work in the ap1 top. The ap1 softtop folds directly across the back window. There are aftermarket solutions, but for the cost - why not just upgrade to an ap2 top with glass?

This! Chaser is selling hardtops for less than softtops.
