That really sucks man - sorry to hear..

100% support the purchase of a beater. Not only for inclimate weather, but also for peace of mind. I use to worry constantly about my S2000 when it was my DD. With my Accord, I go wherever I want and don't worry about it at all.

I've also saved my S from countless door dings at work, kept 18K miles off my S in the last year, saved the S from getting hit twice in parking garages - all while getting 29-34 MPG consistently.

Sorry to hear bro. Get a beater! It will pay for itself in a year, with gas savings and body work on the S!

I would never park my S at:

1. Metro lot
2. Airport parking
3. Club parking
4. Along a street

If I have to do any of those I take the beater. A good stock beater also raises no alarms with the 5-0 when you leave a club/bar at 2am.

ouch! sorry to hear man!

sounds like your good sense (not driving because you were drunk) was the opposite of what the dude who hit you the second time did - if they hit five cars, they were almost definitely drunk. drunk driving FTL

Dan,

I'm not sure where that place is. But i've been hearing alot of folks s2k's getting broken into... IN FAIRFAX of all places! I trully believe in karma and they will get their own.

Did you get it repaired outta your own pocket? I ask cuz for my insurance (nationwide) covers everything but i just gotta come out the pocket 200 bucks. 200 bucks is still 200 bucks, but its better than paying full price i guess...

Has anyone heard of COmpustar alarm/remote start? i had one on my old Talon awd turbo. its kinda like a viper, but alot better. even has remote start, they have the Infrared lasers you can get installed so if you just happen to have your top down, or up and somone cuts it and sticks their hands in, it activates the sensors and the alarm will sound on the car and your pager goes off as well.

I gotta get one for this s2k of mine too.......i'm wiggin out about all these problems

I don't suppose you could change the title of the thread, could you? It really isn't appropriate for this forum.
