Hit and Run then VTEC
A few weeks ago, just another ordinary morning driving to work on Richmond Hwy(Rt 1) I am about 100 yards away from getting on to 95N. This was around 6:30AM so traffic was backing up. I make my way on the far right lane minding my own business and cruising...all the sudden I notice a silver TSX trying to merge into my lane. I guess the driver failed to turn her head or use her mirror or something but needless to say TSX hit my driver side rear panel. So I stop my car and proceeded to exit my vehicle to assess the damage and all I they sudden I see the TSX take off into another lane and speed off. Oh now I’m just Pissed! I get back in my S, hit VTEC in 2 second gear, I chased this lady for a good 2-3 mins trying to work my way around traffic on 95 to get her license plate number. Thank God for the F22C engine
I was able to catch up to her honking my horn flashing my lights, The lady still didn’t stop. After obtaining her plate number I existed from 95 called Fairfax PD and waited for an office. After giving the officer the information, It turns out the TSX was registered in Texas and so there was no way of finding out where she lives in VA according to the cop. Fairfax PD did their job though BTW, they were able to locate her 2 weeks later with the help of Houston PD. When the FC officer asked her why she left the scene of the accident, she replied “ I didn’t know I hit anyone.”
To make a long story short –- I was able to get in contact with her insurance and set up a claim. They estimated the damage at $1,400 lol it was only a few scratches but I’m not complaining
. Moral of the story, DON’T HIT AND TRY TO OUT AN S2000
