sounds good i guess. i am just bitter about consoles cuz my 360 crapped out last night and now im gonna have to pay to get it repaired. I dont think i'll buy a first batch console again. i bet the PS3s will have similar issues. THey have had trouble getting good yields from their CPU waifers (sp). THe real issue with all new hardware is they never really test production pedigree hardware. Hopefully they'll offer a 1-year warranty unlike MS's 90-day. But that is doubtful since most any sony product is 90-days or something like that.

Good they are being strict cuz they did a crap job last time (w/ 360). I know people who pre-ordered the first day and waitied well past release day.

Or you could buy the $20 replacement plan or whatever most retail stores offer. I find that if I buy the warranty the product almost always seems to crap out a month or two before it expires.

Heard about it at just after 10 am this morning thanks to Evan. I ran out the door and had the deposit placed well before 11 am. I am not real happy that I'm #15 or #16(there was a guy behind me and maybe he was referring to him being the last one) as I do not believe that any store will get 16 in its first allocation.

My store handed out "One unit per household" write-ups.

yea I was first in line in a 16 unit allocation, 2 of which were to go to employees, so hopefully its all good. I got a call from the manager Monday night and was told to be there Tuesday. I had been reading about Tuesday being the day online on one of the avs forums since Sunday but the stores had been tightlipped about it up until last night.

Definitely keeping the system, unless I can grab a 2nd one at Best Buy to resell.

Call Microsoft, if you have a 360 made in 2005 they will replace it for free. They admitted there was a problem with manufacturing.

I was first in line for pre-ordering a PS3 at GameStop in Franklin Farms. They didn't write down a number on my receipt but I'm assuming the order that we pre-ordered in is in the computer.

I heard you had to drop $100 to reserve a spot. True?
