Default Homecoming 3?

Hey y'all!

I haven't seen a thread on this yet here, so I figured I'd start one. Mods, if one has been made already, please merge this one in and bump it.

The last Homecoming was in Torrance, CA in 2010. Back-cracker is at it again, in contact with Honda, and has an interest list up. He needs at least 500 people on the thread, though, to hear much back from Honda.

There was a good Mid-A group that went last time, and caravanned down. Maybe some of those guys will post up here and share their experiences. Personally, 7200 miles in 12 days in an amazing convertible, traveling completely around the country, seeing national monuments, beautiful scenery, and meeting amazing people is something I want to experience again. For those even curious about the event, post up some interest and put your name on the list.

I went last time. TOTALLY worth it...

My only advise would be to make a big trip out of it. We only took three days to get out there last time and, while it was fun, it was totally exhausting and we didn't get to see too much. Take the time to smell the roses.

I can't do it this time but I would encourage anyone who can to do it.

Finally - SOMEONE responded! Good to hear from you again

This trip is much less grueling when it's taken over a week each way. If you want to torture yourself, make it a rally and swap drivers at every pit stop or so. But if that's what you have to do, it does work, and the S is a great car to do it in.

If anyone is even remotely interested in this event, either attending or seeing the event happen, please sign up on the Interest List link above.

Thanks!

I'm actually considering shipping my car out, I just can't justify the time off just to drive out there.

2 of us from SoMD signed up on the interest list.

Myself and Tamadrummer, numbers 458 and 459 I think.

I'm interested in shipping out there or back, but I think I want to drive one leg of the trip. The actual meet is too short to ship it both ways although, it would shift the trip from driving across the country to spending more time in Cali. Hmm.... decisions decisions

Driving is definitely worth it, even if it's just one way. How often will you get a chance to drive an extremely tiny convertible across the country?

I was surprised how much of a difference it made being in a drop top. The views were spectacular.

I went last time (with WHRDLMI and others) and I'm on the interest list for this time. I enjoyed the xcountry experience. Good people and some solo time too. Expect long hours in the car. I second what Jeff said, if you can make a longer trip out of it than 10 days, do it.

I would love nothing more than driving out there and back, drove my S back from Dallas when I bought it and it was a great trip. However real life sucks and I can't justify using a years worth of vacation just to get out there and back.

I went to the first one, but had to cancel at the last minute for the second. Disappointed about that. Will try to make this one, depending on dates. I think Sept is the target month, but one never knows with BC. He likes to keep us guessing.
