Is the s2k or any other two seaters with 1 passenger of course allowed on 395 HOV even though if i remember correctly 395 HOV is for 3 or more occupants?

Thanks!

You could always stuff someone in the trunk

Don't know if that'll get you in even more trouble though.

A: No, the S2000 does not qualify. I believe an extension for super efficient cars(some hybrids) was passed. Motorcycles may also use the HOV.

I looked into this, too... Two seaters are NEVER allowed to use the HOV-3 lanes. Even if both seats are occupied.

No. To use the HOV-3 lanes, you must have three people in your vehicle.

Can I use Virginia's HOV lanes in my hybrid vehicle even though my car is registered in Maryland?

In order for a hybrid vehicle to use Virginia's HOV lanes, you must have Virginia clean special fuel license plates. This is the only way we have to monitor the use of these lanes when there is only one individual in a car. In order for Virginia to honor Maryland plates, we would need a reciprocal agreement between the two states, and no such agreement exists to our knowledge.
