Default HOV Ticket

Recently i got a HOV ticket going on 66E right off the 495 ramp at like 9AM. Now i need to know if there are possible ways of beating a HOV ticket. it is my first.

Yaaay another "I broke the law but how do I try to cheat the courts and try to get off free?" Thread

At least it isn't related to speeding or some other "moving" violation...

oh well... Good luck I guess...

Nope. You were in the HOV lane when you shouldn't have been...

it's not like a moving violation, pay the fine and you're done.

Yeah, I argued til I was blue in the face with a couple of other members on here about how having a no front plate ticket might have a fighting chance of getting beaten if your plate was in the windshield instead, but that was purely from a legal interpretation of the state code.

There is no way around the HOV ticket that I can think of. If you were in the lane during the restricted hours with no passengers and no emergency, then you're guilty. If you want to fight it, your best bet is to just ask the judge for a break, as long as you have a clean record. Otherwise just pay the ticket and be done with it all.

I'm pretty sure it goes up for every infraction. It starts at $80 for the first one I think...
