How are DC roads today?
I learned my lesson Sunday, when I got stuck in less than a half inch of slush on H street and a couple of cops pushed me back onto the road. All the roads around my apartment were fine, but as soon as I left Dupont, nothing was well plowed, and my tires were useless.
I'd like to get over to Potomac Yard this evening, and was wondering if its safe to venture out on stock tires yet. Are the roads pretty much clear at this point? My route is down 21st, east on K, and south on 14th across into Arlington and down Route 1.
(I think I'm going to have to go with all-weathers once my stock tires wear out, rather than switch between summer and snow tires, since I don't have anywhere to store a second set. Booo.)

The roads should be clear... but wait.. does your screen name mean you're a Duke fan? In that case the streets are really, really bad. Stay in.

Thanks - roads were fine yesterday.
As for Duke, I can't really say that we're as good as our ranking right now, but boy does Maryland stink! How does it feel to be below VT and Miami in the ACC standings?
Go Devils, and go Hokies!

Not that bad a beating, but we sure deserved to lose that one. Still it was much more a Duke loss than a Maryland win. It's a good time to be a Duke hater - we still have 2 meetings each with Wake, UNC and GaTech coming up, 2 meetings with the giant-killing Hokies, and Maryland on the road.
