How picky is too picky
I jsut got my car back from having most of the rear end replaced. How picky should i be about the paint job? It is definatly not stock caliber. On the inside of the trunk the paint is really clumpy and around some of the top edges it looks like it is about to chip with bubbles of overspray. Also, where i bought a new fiberglass bumper, i can see in the grooves where it looks like they painted it on the car and taped it or soemthing. I didnt have my car for a month and it was about 9000 in work, i expected it to be perfect, am i expecting too much? It isnt noticable from a few feet back, but when you look at the little places there is definatly a good bit of overspray or sloppy painting. I have to go back anyway because they didnt fix some of the suspension which im pretty sure is messed up because it makes a weird clicking noise like a cv joint going bad. Anyway, how picky would you all be?
9 Grand!!!! I would have totaled the car! You'll never get it perfect with that much damage, but it does sound like amateur night at Knox's - you sure that wasn't Johnny Knoxville's body shop

it was 7200 in body damage and the rest was suspension. total was just over 4grand for parts and 5 for labor. I suspect my insurance will go up. Ill take pictures of my garage defend rear and all these imperfections i caught.
That much damage is still more than half the value of your car - let this be a learning lesson for the future.....if your car has more than $6,000 worth of damage and is not worth more than $20,000 at the time of incident try your best to get the car totaled. This is especially crucial when a big portion of the work was on suspension.
If it were me, I would have been out there with a hammer and baseball bat before getting the damage estimate
