Default Hurricane Relief Donation Challenge

New England Guys had the idea of rasing money for the relief effort Here and one of the members has said he would match donations up to $1000. While my anonymous benefactor can't afford that he will match up to $500. Bass (Steve) from NE forum will handle the funds and get the money to the charity. He even liked Bill's wording so much I am just cutting and pasting that post with a couple of changes (1000 down to 500 and NE to Mid-A).

If we hit $500 in pledge by 7pm Wednesday some one says they wil match the next $500.
We are currently at $340 ($680 after the match) and the offer of the 2nd $500 was extended until next Tuesday. So matches up to $1000 before Tuesday.

Mark, I'd rather send you a check so as not to have PP eat some of my small donation. Any problem with that?

if you wish to mail a contribution please send a check made out to the Red Cross with Hurricane Relief in the memo field to Steve Bassignani P.O. Box 83 Norfolk, MA 02056
Make sure you put the Hurricane Relief in the memo field so it is allocated correctly. Steve will be putting all of the funds together and sending it in one batch.

I will make up the PayPal fees on everyone's donations made in that manner as well so your full donation amount will get there.

Just PM me with the amount so I can keep track.

Thanks Skip

Friday the 9th. You can still make donations after that but I won't be matching them.

OK guys were up to $150 so far so we may be able to max out this offer by the end of the day.

I'm sure a lot of you are getting matching donations at work but I thought we could do something from the Mid-A aswell.

Thanks to the contributers so far.
