Default HyperFest

Hey guys my name is Greg and I am from the Philadelphia area (DelVal). My cousin lives in Virginia and has been bugging me to come to Hyperfest for a couple of years now. I decided to make the trip this year. Just was wondering if any of you guys 1) Have been there? 2)What type of crowd is it? 3)Is your car safe to park there? I am hoping the crowd is a little different then Honda Day at ATCO raceway by me. I never attend that event since I dont feel safe parking the car. Thanks for any help and maybe I will see some of you guys there!

total hillbilly event...lol... it can be fun but full of a bunch of drunks...

2 years ago I watched a guy punch another guys car as he was driving past... the guy got out to confront the drunk guy and somehow the driver swung first and got knocked out in 1 punch as he bled all over the ground from the back of his head... some assholes drug their cooler down the side of my truck in a similar situation but there were 4-5 of them vs me and my son.... so I just moved on... of course he put a decent scratch in it.

I used to race with NASA and would just stay up in the paddock but down by the car show / drifting / etc.. is mostly drunk asshole rednecks.

Find a safe area away from the front for your car.

Be prepared for lots of drunken people, many of whom are missing teeth. Plenty of skanky women to look at. Worth attending if you're prepared for it.

A couple of us will be there driving.

If a hillbilly approaches you say something educated. He won't know what hit'em. Then quickly go on about your business.

racing or HPDE? I instruct with NASA but won't take my dodge on track due to the lack of racing experience in the instructors group... I am more afraid of them than I am of me balling it up...
