Noise is 100% gone... yeah its modified... there's a 70 core fee but since so close I drove in and out no prob actually had them in stock on hand..181 total including labor... I asked about warranty he said if i ever had a problem just call and they'll take care of it. So overall very happy.

I'm glad to hear it worked out. I might have to do this to my car. I've been debating between InlinePro's version or Billman's. I have the card in spokes noise every once in a while.

Oh what labor did they charge you? I mean from what I have read, it takes literally 10 minutes.

I had to drive up highway to get there so I imagine it was red hot...50 bucks well spent imop yes I read very easy but 50 bucks for a guarantee from inlinepro is money well spent

Great DIY TCT thread created below (guh!...how the *&%# do you link now on this piss-ass site!?!!!)

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/808...e__hl__tct+diy

I just recently replaced mine with Billman's modified TCT. My motor has over 233K miles on it and this was the first time I'd replaced this item. The swap was a snap (especially when following Saki's DIY thread linked above).

This begs the question, if you got 233k on your original, stock, TCT, why upgrade to the bulletproof one? IIRC, these things last about 100k, replacement is easy, and they are not bank-breaking expensive. What is the advantage of spending more?

When the noise started I only heard every once blue moon then overnight it was all the time.. you'd think Honda would have figured it out by 2008.

I'm convinced engine oil quality has something to do with it. I'd love to do a survey to compare how many miles the CCT lasts to what oil you use. A very small sampling leads me to think that Mobil 1 kills these parts. Of course, if Dave says he uses Mobil 1... there goes that theory.
