Default I'm back!

Looks like it really is true and once you sell an s2000 you always want to come back. Truthfully I regretted selling my last one almost the minute it drove off. I knew pretty quickly that long term I wasn't going to be happy in the Sti. I waited until spring so I could get my coilovers and summer tires on and just hoped it would make the car fun enough that I'd be happy not having an s2000. As expected I was wrong. Even after buying the Sti this forum always felt more like home and I liked the people I've met over the years.

I got extremely lucky and was able to sell the Sti really quick and I got exactly what I was looking for price wise so I couldn't complain one bit. The new owner came to pick it up yesterday and I picked up my new s2000 today.

You're looking at a 2006 Berlina with only a little over 23k miles The previous owner has had the car for 2 years and only drove it 3900 miles in that time span. Overall the car is in great shape. It's got a door ding or two I'll get PDR to fix and it could use a detail but nothing some TLC can't fix.

I'm very eager to do more autocross this year. I did a good bit when I got the last s2k initially but then I spent too much time modding the car and not having fun driving it. I'll make this one look nice but it won't be as extreme. No plan for a rollbar and no plans to flare fenders again. We all know how that stuff changes so only time will tell. Up first though is wheels, coilovers, and some front lip.

These pics are from before I spent some time cleaning it today.

I never sold the factory shift knob out of my old s2k so I figured I'd toss it in this one as a tribute.

I'm definitely planning to get out to more meets now that the weather is getting nicer. It feels great to be back in an s2000 and I got really lucky with this find. I hope I don't regret buying a black one though. I'm sure to some level I'll miss how easily silverstone hid small imprefections.

Congrats!

<---Also came from an STi. Only time I miss the STi is during winter when the AWD would be handy. Otherwise I enjoy the s2000 more.

Thanks guys. The car is great. I forgot how nice and smooth a good N/A car is. That alone makes driving it so much more enjoyable. The other thing I really missed was the general feel from the steering wheel and of the suspension. Everything feels nice and tight even bone stock compared to the Sti.

I'll definitely be getting to at least one of the May C&C events so you guys can check it out.
