Default Introducing myself here... Richmond, VA

Hey guys. I just recently picked up a clean Ap1 in Silver/black. Its got an OEM AP1 lip and OEM AP2V2 wheels. I'm in the Richmond area near Short Pump. Just wanted to see if there were any local guys in the area! Thanks!

Hi Mo

Dave Parker here. For years I was a Comm. Organizer for the Mid A region. Presently, I live a little west of you (Bumpass, VA...off the Gum Spring exit on I-64). GREAT roads out this way (as you may already know). I have an '01 with 260,000 well-driven miles on her . I carpool to the Southern States Corporate office near Broad & Glenside ~ every other week...so now and then you might see The Bruised Banana on I-64 ~ 7:30-8:00am and again ~ 4:30-5:00pm.

The Richmond-area lot of S2K owners present a fairly meek front on the Mid-A boards. Dunno why, but most lurk and none try to put together meets any more. LOTS of activity/meets out east towards Williamsburg and Newport News.

Sweet ride you got there! I'm sure you are excited to have it! About a week back I had received a call from an ex-co-worker that had recently been laid off...he'd called me to say he'd seen a clean sebring for sale in the Short Pump area. I'm assuming that is the car you ended up purchasing here?

Best Regards,
Dave

PPS. You might notice some other 'mods' that were done to your ride: 1) Tape has been removed around the A-pillars and 2) the 'S2000' has been removed from the sides (would have been positioned near the sidemarkers). Maybe a 3rd thing: 'H' badges have been upgraded???

Nice car, good to see another Silverstone on the forums. Maybe. Inspiration for a repaint I think. I get out to the Williamsburg Cars and Coffee meets sometimes, so maybe I'll see you there? I'm down in Virginia Beach, and it's a little busier this way than Richmond I think.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I believe there is a Richmond Cars and Coffee coming up soon. I will post up details in the forum when they are forwarded to me. If anyone is interested in going, we could get a cruise together. I'd really like to meet up with some local s2000 owners for support and information regarding maintenance and up keeping. Thanks again for the warm welcome.

There's a Williamsburg Cars & Coffee in two weeks I think (isn't it the 3rd Saturday of the month)?

What's mileage on her? I just did plugs, coolant, transmission and diff fluids on mine since she's almost 100k. The age of any AP1 also means coolant is due even if mileage hasn't been hit. Also, any rattles or anything from engine bay? I've also had to change my timing chain tensioner, and got a modified one from BillMan in NYC so I won't have to replace it again. That's been my set of issues so far. Nothing too big, and I've done it mostly myself thanks to the awesome tutorials that abound here.
