What kind of maintenence should I be doing? Oil change and filter is always done at 3K. Diff and Trans Fluid changed recently.
At 45k, you should have replaced the coolant and brake fluid.
At 60k, you should...
* replace engine oil
* check tire inflation and condition
* replace engine oil filter
* inspect front and rear brakes
* check pads and discs for wear, damage, and cracks
* check calipers for damage, leaks, and tightness of mount bolts
* check parking brake adjustment. Should be fully applied withing 9 to 13 clicks.
* inspect tie-rod ends, steering gearbox, and boots
* check rack grease and steering linkage
* check boots for damage and leaking grease
* check fluid line for damage and leaks
* inspect suspension components
* check bolts for tightness
* check condition of ball joint boots for deterioration and damage
* inspect driveshaft boots. Check boots for cracks and boot bands for tightness
* inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS). Check the master cylinder, proportioning control valve, and ABS modulator for damage and leakage
* check all fluid levels and condition of fluids; check for leaks. If necessary, add MTF, engine coolant, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
* inspect cooling system hoses and connections
* check for damage, leaks, and deterioration
* check for proper fan operation
* inspect exhaust system. Check catalytic converter heat shield, exhaust pipe, and muffler for damage, leaks, and tightness
* inspect fuel lines and connections. Check for loose connections, cracks and deterioration; retighten loose connections and replace damaged parts
* replace air cleaner element
* inspect drive belts for cracks and damage. Alternator compressor belt: inspect auto tensioner indicator, needs no adjustment
* replace differential oil
* replace the air conditioning filter
Do the last one first, since no one EVER changes that thing and it probably looks like Dusty Death by now.
