Default Just wondering what is wrong with the world....

I went outside yesterday to take a drive up the Maryland Renaissance Festival...since we (my Fiancee and I) are going to Fall Colors this weekend, we took the SUV. As I got into the car, I noticed something strange on the wheels of my S2000. The lines didn't match up right as the valve stems looked different on my Work S2R's.

A stem cap was missing.... I got out to inspect the wheel and figured that perhaps it fell off. So I checked my other wheels, and lo and behold each wheel was missing the stem cap. Three days before, all caps where there as I washed my wheels and would have noticed. So apparently someone stole all four valve stem caps off my car. Why would anyone do that? Is someone that hard up that they have to steal them?

I guess it could have been worse, I could have had my top slashed again....or my sides keyed for the third time.....or I could have been rear-ended.... (I've had some bad luck with this car!)

Sorry for ranting, but I am a bit frustrated and at the same time I was hoping someone could tell me where I can get new valve stem caps for my wheels?

bummer, dude. this world is indeed full of meandering idiots. it's unavoidable, really, and very, very sad.

should be able to pick some up at any Honda dealer, or any auto parts store. just try to avoid any that take batteries... they will probably get stolen even faster ;-)

i guess the silver lining is the fact that it was ONLY your valve stems, and nothing else like you stated....

people these days are pricks..... can't leave well alone other people's stuff...

Sorry about that -- just put my s2k in the body shop today to repair the thoughtless damage ($550 worth) done by a careless person who, of course, probably didn't even notice that they opened their door into the side of my car leaving a big dent and paint scratched off to the primer. So, I feel your pain.

You know it's bittersweet to get support on something like this. Just to hear that other people's S2000's are getting messed up by inconsiderate people.

And also, thanks for the suggestion ricosuave! I'll have to see if I can get a set of them. (would anyone happen to know what the difference between the normal and XL sized?)

Thanks for the caps dude i'll be back for the wheels later Just kidding. Please remain calm. If it is at all poss. Don't park on the street. If you have to park on the street, move! If that sounds like to much money, buy and set up a video on the car. Determine who the children are & tell there parents. If they don't spank them you should. Cheer up,next time i might take the entire car. Life sucks, but somebody's got to live it. See Ya!
