As with many others in the area, I was laid off from my job on Friday. I was working for a defense sub-contractor, but have a back ground in government, PR, lobbying, and national security.

I thought I would post up on the boards because I know a lot of people receive bonuses if they refer someone to their company and that person gets hired.

I live in Arlington, but am not locked into a lease here, so I am interested in any leads someone may be able to provide anywhere in the DC area.

do you have a clearance? not sure how much your making now but if you do, pinkertons government security is hiring and its like 16 bucks an hour...

 

I have an inactive clearance. But I know who holds it and it shouldn't take long to get it re-activated.

if you do, and can get it activated, you can apply at pinkertons.com...they provide alot of government places... its only 16$ an hour but its a start... and its some cash flow...

i dont get referal and its not what i'm trying to do.. but rather if you need help, i'll try to see if i can talk to my boss if your interested... but you def would need to go online at pinkertons.com and fill out the app... its long..but worth it.

Channel 4 News just ran a segment a few minutes ago reporting that the Secret Service held a job fair today and is seeking to fill 1,000 positions of all types (security, accounting, IT, etc.).
