Lets do a MEGA meet

hey guys, just wanted to share my opinion on this event. while i think this meet has a lot of potential, i personally think a drive to ocean city would be too much. i just think its a little inconvenient due to the fact that we would virtually be in ocean city for roughly only 3 hours. it just doesn't make sense to me to drive 3 hours to and from and spend not even a fraction of the day there, while not experiencing ocean city to its fullest. at the same time, the amount of money spent on food and drinks: ($x), jet skiing + hand written quiz they make everyone take: ($70?)and/or parasailing ($60+?), gas money to and from: ($50+?) <--the money doesnt seem worth it to me in the time span of 3 hours that we have to do it all in. yea jet skiing will be fun and all but theres so much more to ocean city than that.
For what the OP is tuning this meet to become, just seems like the caliber of the planning and setting up doesnt reflect the hassle of getting everyone to ocean city and back for a few hours in one day. bottom line, i feel as if the time, gas consumption, miles driven, etc just doesnt equate to, nor worth the trip to ocean city. in a perfect world, or i would even go as far as saying a perfect weekend that is very possible if planned accordingly, we could have all done this if it was a WEEKEND ordeal. with that said just imagine us s2k owners getting the full blown experience of ocean city without a small time limit or being rushed at that. With a weekend on our hands we could have all had fun experiencing the beach, boardwalk, golfing, hotel hopping, seacrets, fagers, mackeys, lunch, dinner, day drinking, rounds of shots with s2ki guys, jet skiing, scootering coastal highway, whatever you name it.
with that said, i dont want end on a bad note and will put in my advice, which in my opinion, is more realistic, convenient, and all around more fun due to the allotted time were given: SIX FLAGS AMERICA in bowie, MD. that to me makes sense. parking for everyone, shit load of fun rides, superman, waterpark, food, etc. and the cruise wont be as long and will be just as much fun. may not be the best idea for everyone, im sure we could think of a better place but i think its more plausible than oc.
ps - will be attending starbucks to meet everyone but will unfortunately head back home for later plans. cya guys there.

We should be there by 3:30pm as its a 2hr 30mins drive and we can stay there till Sunset, which will be 5-6 hours easily as the sunset is at almost 9pm.
If you think that's not enough, we can leave EARLY, so we can spend more time in Ocean City.

Mo and I will be picking up some radios from best buy on friday, but first I'd like to know how many people who voted for ocean city are 100% confirmed. If you are then please post "IN" or something so we can all get a solid idea of how many will be cruising down there.

Mo and I will be picking up some radios from best buy on friday, but first I'd like to know how many people who voted for ocean city are 100% confirmed. If you are then please post "IN" or something so we can all get a solid idea of how many will be cruising down there. lets get this rolling while we still have time!

Maryland Group -- We ALL will be meeting at the Starbucks at 12 noon, no matter if you will be cruising to OC or not. Lets all meet at the same spot. Ocean City group will leave at 1:15pm SHARP, please do not be late if you are cruising down to OC.
Virginia/DC Group -- We will be stopping at the shopping plaza right BEFORE the Bridge. We should be there by 2:00pm and will wait there for 15mins for you guys to join us. If there is any issues or delays, please text me at 443 718 1347.
Delaware Group -- Please let us know where you want to meet us, so we can stop and wait for you as well.
We will be taking Route 32 to I-95 towards Route 50 to MD 404 through Main street all the way to Ocean City Expressway. This route has less traffic, less traffic lights, speed limit is 40miles at some points but its only 140miles (driving time is 3 hours)
If we go through Salisbury, we hit more traffic, more traffic signals and its about 160miles away.
We can Discuss the route when we meet up at the Starbucks
zhashmi will arrange for the Radios, if any one of you already have them, please bring them as we can always use Extras.
Please fill up GAS before you come to Starbucks as we will leave on time. also, if you need snacks for the travel, get them while you are at the gas station. We MAY have one stop over during the entire cruise.

Looks like a good plan ...... suggest radio channel 4 for those meeting the group while enroute to OC ......
