Default A little help.

Hello all,

So here is the deal. I have this vibration coming from what feels like my drivers side rear wheel. Could also be the passenger side but I am never in it. It is very speed dependent. It only happens when it is around 35-45MPH and 68 and a bit above. Now the car is lowered and I have been reading into the CV joints being pitted and swapping those but the symptoms I have don't really sound like it. Although I am sure they could be swapped and help a bit. I would love to have someone help me diagnose this and give me some insight on what else you think it may be. It shakes the steering wheel and me like crazy almost like driving over a washboard road or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the vibration all the time, or only during acceleration? Because when i lowered my car it was realy bad during acceleration, and I swapped the inner CV joints and its completely smooth now.

All the time. Doesn't seem to matter if I am accelerating or just letting my foot off and letting it coast. Just has been leaving me scratching my head

Are you sure it's coming from the rear? If it shakes the steering wheel it may be coming from the front end.

i honestly think its your CVs. dont swap them, replace them, then get half shaft spacer. i dont know why your steering wheel would be shaking though. have you checked your tires? one might have a slipped belt.

Thanks for the info. Yea the car does need new tires so maybe some of it is from the tires. If I am completely replacing the CV Joints or even swapping them, I suppose the next thing would be if anyone would be willing to help out? And if it isn't the CV joints then I would love some help diagnosing it. I don't have any experience doing it myself in this area but would rather learn and help someone then pay a shop to do it. If anyone is interested let me know I can compensate you for the time. Thanks again guys its driving me absolutely nuts.
