S techs are just springs? Then yes you need a compressor. Cheap ones can be found at the harbor freight store.

If they are complete coilovers then no you don't need them.

Get a UK alignement at P-tuning, but you can get a stock alignement no problem, plenty of adjustment in that direction.

I put springs on my Civic (mid 90's) with out a compressor, it involved using a floor jack and a table. I never want to do that again.

Also I wrapped the coilover in a blanket and removed the top bolt with a air ratchet. That was interesting.

1. you won't need a compressor to put the stechs on but you will need one to remove your stock springs.

2. I usually finish a spring install in about 1.5 hours

3. you don't modify any alignment settings, you'll be fine after the install, just wait a few weeks for your springs to settle before getting an alignment (I also recommend P_Tuning)

You DO NOT need a spring compressor to remove the factory springs. The shock assembly will move no more than an inch or so upon removing the nut on the top of the shock. Should take you no more than an hour and a half start to finish. I just removed my s techs the other day and installed espelir asd's. Just make sure to preload the suspension before tightening your suspension bolts.

This is very important. It may seem like its no big deal but it really makes a difference.
