You picked a bad time to ask

After several belt replacements (both the Vortech belt and the Honda belt it damaged when it went) moparacker thinks he may have gotten it to hold itself together

The belt is just very sensitive and needs to be tightened down JUST right. Too tight and it will eat itself up while simultaneously destroying the idler pulley (which we've already replaced). Too loose and it will flop around and not make full power. But I think we've got it in the sweet spot now.

BUT, now that the SC seems to be sorted out, I've gone and decimated my rear diff. So the car is down while I work out a way to get the Comptech reinforced end caps and get a new set of 4.10s cryo-treated and reinstalled

When I get it all back together I should be ready to fix the next thing that breaks

^I should point out that these belt problems seem to be with MY Vortech only. I've never heard of any other Vortechers with these belt issues, so don't let my bad experiences sway you. If you go Vortech you'll know you did the right thing as soon as you hear the whooooosh pssssss whooooosh

thanks for the input , I think I will be getting the diff first and then the charger, so probably in about 6 months I will be able to have this all done.
