I've stayed low key!
So far I'm liking all the nominations
I have to agree with Skip on Peter's 4th and not so finest point
, but I have faith that Peter will step up to the plate if appointed. Or we can give Peter a rule: not allowed to talk to people with less than 200 days on the board
this is key! I am hoping that some nominations will be able to take care of this though.

Being a newer member I agree with many of the other people that 3 COs would be a great choice. Of course like many others have said communication would be key. It would be good to see meets all around the Mid A where more memebers could attend, but like Skip did say traffic is a huge problem. I'm sure whatever and whoever is nomininated to replace Alex will step up to the plate and do well with the support of fellow Mid A members. Goodluck to whoever is nominated.
In this poll my mind was split between Option #2 and #3. In fact, at the start of reading this thread I believed #3 would be the best way to lead. However, after reading a few posts in here I decided to choose Option #2. Being able to Moderate and lead on the boards isn't what I believe this position is about at all. In my eyes I also believe it is to keep your Community, whether local or across the entire Mid-Atlantic a tight knit group with a family feel. Personally I feel that with how large the Mid-Atlantic Region has become, we do need to look into 3 Organizers. In my eyes this will allow Mid-Atlantic region to stay close.
Even though I have stated in a previous thread that I do not believe a Poll for who should be Community Organizer should be a popularity contest - I do believe that some of the following individuals will do a great job:
Dragon F6 (Steve) - He organized and hosted the last Mod Day and did an excellent job! He opened his home to us all and made me personally feel very welcome. As well, I met Steve at Wake the Dragon 05' for the first time ever - he was very outgoing introducing himself to me and offering assistance with the car problems I was having. He possesses a very good mature attitude with a good sense of leadership and helpfulness.
Nandska (Tom) - Tom has been hosting the Happy Hour Meets for quite some time now. Personally I have not had the chance to attend one, however I have heard they are well done - even being a smaller meet. This is something Mid-A needs to look into - not just the larger meets, but also the little ones between the big ones. Tom has always been helpful offering to lug down parts from NoVa to SoVa for me and overall offering to help when needed. Plus he is an awesome cook!!
4theheckof_it (Peter) - Peter definitely has a very outgoing attitude. If you don't know him off the boards, he is very quick to come up to you & introduce himself at meets. It truly makes you feel welcome. Ontop of that Peter has a very entertaining attitude, which breaks the ice at meets for new members as they see we are all here to have a good time. Peter has also been hosting the "Wash & Wax" Meets for some time now. Again I have not had the opportunity to attend one of these meets, but have only heard the best things!

Having done the CO thing for almost three years now, it's important to not be all things to all people. You really have to try to be fair and unbiased when moderating threads. And be very active in posting and organizing events. If you don't have the time to do this, then don't volunteer or accept a nomination to be a CO. Just my additional $.02.
I agree with most of the comments so far, and I've voted for 3 CO's as the option. However, like Alex said, a CO should be on the boards at least once a day and make their presence known. Obviously anyone will have extenuating circumstances from time to time, but as long as they're regularly online, available, and active in planning meets / functions, that's the key.
That said, I second the nominations for
Peter (4theheckof_it) for NOVA CO and
Dragon F6 (Steve) for MD CO.
I honestly don't know the SOVA crowd well enough to nominate anyone there, other than maybe Skip, but he's only halfway to SOVA from here.

Skip isn't SOVA. Skip is just about in the center of the whole Mid-A, but I think he qualifies more for NOVA.
SOVA is mainly South of Skip - figure it as Richmond down to Virginia Beach. What about WEVA
