Two weeks ago, a s2000 owner called me and he told me that he had his STOCK s2000 wheels stolen. And the thiefs left it on the parking lot and caused damage to the rotors. When I heard this story, I was a little skeptical, because I have never heard of anyone steal stock s2000 wheels before. Then later, he ordered a set of aftermarket wheels from me and had told me that he didn't even report insurance because he didn't want his insurance to go up. I met the owner when he came in my store. He's a really nice gentleman. I really feel bad about what has happended to him. I want to help.

Today, there was a 98-2000 model 2dr Honda Accord, silver with altezza tailights and aluminum wing drove by my shop. The car was packed with Teenagers. I try my best not to judge people by appearance. But this was a hard one not to. And what grabbed my attention was the STOCK s2000 wheels that was on this Silver accord.

I put 2 + 2 together and I get suspicious conclusion

I could be wrong. I don't want to wrongfully accuse anyone with out proof. But if anyone can help. If you see this car on the road. Please get the license plate down. I believe in Karma and I don't want to see the this type of things happend to good people. Feel free to show your opinions. If you know anything. PM me and I'll tell my customer with the s2000.

Was the guys car GP White?(the one whos wheels were stolen) If so I saw it sitting on blocks. This behavior in this area is really starting to bother me, for example my car was vandalized last weekend when I left it at a friends apartment complex near tysons... oh well...just hope I run into that silver accord.

Narif, he did not report insurance probably thinking that his rate will go up. Every insurance is policy. This could make his insurance go up or can even get him dropped. Trust me, I know some insurance company does that. Which would make him a high risk person. And the fact that he called me and ordered wheels he have never seen before. He just wanted something similar to stock as replacement. Assures me that this is not a fraud. I have met the gentleman, and he is very professional and very sincere guy. I really feel bad that his had happend to him. I really don't want this happend to anyone else here.

 

Jeff is right, insurance companies are looking much closer at the bottom line these days and it doesn't take much for premiums to go up or for policies to be terminated all together.

I recently hit a deer with my Ford F-250 and did a fair amount of damage. I am buying all the parts myself and doing the repair. It isn't worth the risk of jeapordizing my insurance.

I hope his wheels are recovered and the thieves are held accountable.

That's a little scary. What is wrong with people now a days? Doesn't anyone believe in working hard for what you have nothing comes easy...

 

I would've atleast called the cops. Like you said, it could happen to you so calling the cops may prevent future theft. If you do get his plate please call it in. I'm sure the cops don't have a problem making accusations and asking for proof of purchase. Invest in wheel locks everyone, it's a small price to pay.

 

Yeah, that area (Past Tyson's on 7, inside the belt) and Gallows are really bad.

A friend of mine has 2 wheels of his Civic SI stolen near Tyson's, and he had his wing ripped off (forcibly) at his apt right on Gallows.

I always wonder about this kinda activity in those areas since rent isn't really that cheap. Guess it's too close to the edge of the NoVa 'ghetto'.
