Default Mod Day Question

Talked to Jeff @ 1100 March 30th: LE-607, GM Syncho FM, cabin and oil filters will be making the trip.

Who thinks they are getting them done? Who needs them done? Who needs the fluids?

BTW, how many folks have at least 20k miles on their S's? How many of those folks have changed their cabin filter? The white-when-new/black-when-remembered-to-change one under the plastic at the base of the windshield.

How many folks ordered the PCX filters from HTG for future oil changes?

I didn't order any from HTG, but I did just pick one up while I was at the dealer getting my tire patched. I also swung by WalMart and got a drain pan and a funnel. Now I just need to figure out what oil I want to use.

Anyone have recommendations on what oil to use? I'm close to 10,000 miles now, so I was considering switching to Mobil1 or some form of synthetic.

I wanted to order the fluids (chad/dave gave me all the info on what to order), but I never got around to it. I'll break 30k by the time I hit Richmond I think.

Well, then I will have no work to do there if I am able to make it. Nobody bothered to get the stuff they need.

I bought a filter from my local guy... once. $9.20 after tax. I can get them from HTG for less than $6 shipped(no shipping this time ).

jnn4v, from what I understand. it's not a good idea to switch to synethic until after 30k, but that what I have heard. I could be completely wrong.

You can switch to synthetic at any time, but it is best to do while the car is relatively new. Now is a good time if you're at 10K

For Diff's I suggest LE-607 - mucho goodo

Anyone have a spare bottle of LE-607 and I'll order them another bottle?
