Default Moving to your area!

I'm moving to the Baltimore area in March, and we're looking for an apartment or a rental house. I'm not familiar with Baltimore myself , but my fiance grew up there . I was thinking Owings Mills area, but we're not sure. We mostly just need 2 bedrooms (for when we have company from Ohio, since that's where we are now), and abviously a garage for the s2k Looking to spend in the $1000 to $1100 range. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I'll be coming to check places out in a little over a week from now, so I'll be looking for the fellow s2k owners!

I live at UMBC.... Owings Mills is a nice area. Columbia isn't bad either. I don't know much about this area, unfortunately, but my parents were thinking about moving out here from Montgomery County. Not sure what's going to happen with that. I guess where you want to look at might depend on whether your job is above or below the toll on 95

Thanks for the advice guys. I guess maybe I should have mentioned that we will probably be working downtown. Neither of us have a job lined up yet, but it shouldn't be too hard for us to get one. I'm a chef, and my fiance is in hotel management. We're moving to Baltimore so she can be closer to her family.

Owings Mills is a great area if you're going to be working downtown (I used to work downtown). The metro station is right there and most companies will reimburse your ticket.

If you're looking for apartments with garages, I believe the Avalon has a mid-rise building. Rent there is a bit more I think, maybe starting at $1200. There is an apartment complex nearby, I think it's called Winterset Garaged Apartments that is under the $1000 range.

I used to live in a complex called Owings Run Apartments, they don't have a garage but it's very safe there. Gated community after 7pm. Two bedroom apartment was just under $1,000. Pet friendly and a really nice pool too. I kept my car in the parking lot (ample parking) under a car cover most of the time. I'm sure you can find townhomes to rent in the area too, but it's going to be in the range of $1200-$2000/month.

You can PM me if you need more info.

OK, I drove by the apartments the other day... the nice ones with garages in my area are called Owings Park Apartments. They are located on Painters Mill Blvd (21117). This is right across the street from T. Rowe Price's campus. I hope this helps!
