Default Mr Ak's Build Thread.

as a few of you know, my engine blew last week because of oil starvation.
i decided to put a little bit more time and money into the car instead of just putting another stock engine in place. i considered parting ways with the car, but i know i will never sell this thing.

i purchased an F22C with 45k miles. AP2 Trans with ACT Clutch/pressure plate/lightweight flywheel. (new Version)

Kinsler ITB's Custom designed by Bisimoto.
AEM EMS pretuned by Bisimoto.
ACT Stage 2 Clutch/Heavy Duty pressure plate/Race Flywheel.
BC Stage 2 Cams
Aeromotive FPR
Hasport 70A engine mounts
Upgraded Trans Mount
Mishimoto Radiator
Mishimoto fan shroud kit
Mishimoto Fan switch
Mishimoto Hoses
Spoon Cap
PLM Headers
Walbro Upgraded Fuel Pump
Cusco Oil Catch Can
Mugen Baffled Oil Pan.
AEM Wide band and Water temp gauges.
SOS Gauge Pod

In the market for 4.44's.

i started to do a wire tuck and shave in the engine bay as i wait for my new motor and trans to arrive.
AC and all lines removed
Cruise Control Removed
Air Pump Removed.
Secondary Fuse Box relocated
Harnesses tuck away on their own sides.
i dont want to deal with relocating the battery, EPS or main Fuse Box at the moment. but will eventually.
Both air bags are coming out and Aftermarket steering wheel in place. (havn't Decided which one yet)
interior was fully stripped from the dash down. carpet out. all sound deadening removed.

-My Current Mod list-
Amuse Front Bumper
Cusco Front Sway Bar
Spoon N1 Showa Coilovers with Track Spring rates. 18k front 16k rear
invidia test pipe
invidia q300 exhaust.
Hard Dog Roll Bar
Bucket seats
stripped interior
Carbotech AX6's all around
Work Emotion CR KAi Non Staggered, 255's all around with an extra full size spare wheel (work)
Gforce 6 Point Harnesses.

i started to tear down the car today. here are a few pictures. will post more as i go. hoping to have the car back on the road with tune in 2-3 weeks.

Sounds like fun. Since you are building a track car, one thing to think about before its too late:

If there is ANY chance that you are going to compete in future, time trials, racing etc with this car, be careful of the modifications you do now. You'll end up undoing a lot of things that do not conform to the rules.

Cool. Good luck man. Is your name Brad by any chance? I am taking my car to get tuned at CNC Engine Dynamics in winchester once my turbo build is finished. There tuner is Chris Miller. You can take it to Ptuning (Toan) which is good also, but they are pretty conservative and most people are dissapointed with numbers there. Other places are Inline Pro (expensive), I had my boosted integra tuned there, and I know of Infinte speed and performance (Brad) is there tuner. They mostly deal with Vipers and Supras, but Brads pretty good all around.

PTuning also uses a dyno dynamics dyno, so the numbers will read lower than other dynos around the area. If you use any of the shops above, make sure you use them as your base and tune dyno. Otherwise, you'll feel the same if you get your base done somewhere else and your tuned dyno at another place.
