it really starts to climb at 6 grand just like mine does
That looks close to being a flat line to me. Could be my eyes are failing me as I creep toward AARP status. Dunno.

Of course the hp continues, it's a supercharger. My point was that the hp line is relatively flat(no spikes at VTEC engagement) throughout its climb.

You'd usually see an exponential curve, or at least a sharper rise in HP around VTEC. This is an unusually steady rate of increase.

For comparison, this was my before and after sheet. Neither graph has a tuning device installed(pre-VAFC and pre-AEM EMS)

This one is with a VAFC installed. Big difference between the two.

i can see the change in how the hp curve climbs right before 6k. but i bet with just the gradual increase it's probably pulls real nice and constant all the way up!

It's good and bad. It's good from the standpoint that a new-to-FI driver shouldn't be caught unaware by the instant surge in power.

It's bad from the standpoint that you don't get that kick-in-the-butt feeling that VTEC offers in NA S's. I loved that feeling.

In the end smoother is better, but it seems quite unusual for an untuned sc'er.
