Default Navigational system

I recently purchased a navigational system. I'm curious if any other S owners have them and how well they work. I should have mine installed in a few days and will post some pictures. I think someone bought the tom tom not too long ago, but can't remember who.

Do you have one?
Which one?
How much did you pay?
Do you like it?

If you want to post anything navigational system related please do so.

I have the TomTom 700, got it last year around may. I got it on one of those rare eBay deals for around $600 brand new.

So far I like how it works, the 4gb internal hd is what made me go for it as you don't need to buy extra memory cards to add new maps or additional Points of Interests. There is also a small user group that seems to be developing "home brew" applications.
My biggest complain is that since it's a european product (Dutch I believe), the US maps are a little bit outdated (I ended up driving to an italian restaurant that had been closed for years).

Also, I find the screen itself hard to see when driving topless on bright sunny days. I had to buy an additional little custom visor for it that helps a little.

All in all I would recommend the TomTom as it has many of the futures that you can only find in more expensive systems (3d maps, and again the internal hd).

Hope this helps.

I have a Navman ICN510, it's portable and I use it on both cars and the bike.

It was ~ $400.00

I use it locally for business meetings it's handy for that, and for a trip to Maine last year.

It's pretty good for navigating point to point, but for fun driving you have to add in a ton of way-points on the unit and that it tedious.

I would prefer a unit that you can create a route on the PC then upload it to the GPS.

It is pretty good at routing out Dirt roads, ferries and toll roads (all settings you can change) And for the most part it was taken me exactly where I needed to be.

If miss a turn it will re-route you.

Pros

Small and portable
Easy to see screen (4 different screen views)
Touch screen
Voice navigation

Cons

You have to enter info on the unit using a stylus
The battery only lasts about 2-3 hours (it also have a 12V adaptor)
I can only load so many states in the 1GB SD card (entire east coast)
Can take 5 or more minutes to get a GPS lock when cold started.
