Default Need a nice restaurant in NOVA

I need a few good places to take my mom for her 60th birthday this weekend.
something equal to or better than Ruth's Chris, but not much more than $150/head after dessert.
My mom is in fairfax, so the closer the better, but not necessary.
please give as much info as you can, including if we will need to make a reservation.

thanks

Dave

Not $150/person nor as fancy as Ruth Chris, but we are using Maggiano's Banquet room on Monday, $50/person roughly including tip and all. Family style dining, food is pretty good too. Its in Tyson's Galleria Mall.

Might be a little out of your way but Clyde's in Ashburn would be my choice.

If you wanna make it really special, try L'Auberge Chez Francois:

Make reservations ASAP. Usually well booked. About $100-125 per head.

L'Auberge FTW.

Don't know if you'll get reservations. Usually it's two weeks out.
And if you get drinks or go for the high-priced goodies, it could easily be $150/ea+

But SOOOO worth it.

Business casual is acceptable, but wear a (suit) jacket.

2941 in falls church is also very tasty and pretty accessible, near where the beltway, 66, and 50 all meet.

The problem with such short notice is that the better restaurants will be booked solid. Here's a review from this Fall's Post Dining Guide for a good restaurant in Vienna - Bazin's on Church (St). I've not been there but I'd try it...

2941 in Falls Church (right off Rt 50) is another great choice. Very cool atmosphere. Definitely need reservations at both!!

And Happy Birthday to your mom!
