Just a quick post, decided it was time to make another addition to the family. Picked up a New 2010 TSX thanks to an amazing series of events at the dealer. White on Black, Tech Package (Navi, 10 Speaker, 6 Disc Changer, etc). Ended up having the dealer shave off $14,500 off sticker (39k) and took delivery Saturday afternoon.

Wow! Crazy deal!

 

Well now I am home I will give a quick synopsis of the day's events. I originally started looking at TSX's a few weeks ago. Being very picky the one I bought was the only one I would ever want (options, color, etc). I couldn't find one in MD that fit my price point, the only 2 were in VA at the same dealer, both 2010's one with 5k miles 4 cyl and the other was with 14k miles 6 cyl. I originally was going to go for the 5k miles one, but 2 days before I was going to go I saw it sold online. I said I'd still go and look at the other. I show up, test drive it, all is well, we work out a price, purchase order goes in. While we were talking another salesman came over and said, can I see the keys to the TSX, someone wants to see it. Well the salesman I was dealing with came back and said, I'm sorry the car is sold. I was pretty pissed and they tried to offer me a black one which I said I was not compromising on anything, then they tried to put me in a new one for a few thousand off sticker. I still said no and left.

They called me back 15 min later while I was driving through DC and said, the guy balked on the deal, he couldn't afford the financing agreement they worked out. They said "the car is yours, come back and get it if you want". Of course, excited I turned around and came back. 2 miles from the dealer I they call again, said "hold up, he is signing the paperwork". I was pissed at this point, figured I had nothing more to loose. I didn't care who I pissed off.

I talked to the GM who I was dealing with after the mix-up the first time and point blank said to him "what the f*ck are we doing? who do you think you are treating people like this? You call me and say its mine, the car is sold at that point, the other guy walked and you committed to me. You don't go back on your word." He of course was apologetic and I said point blank I didn't care if he took a bath on the sale price and gave it to me for free, I was not leaving without a car after what he did and threatened to contact Acura corporate and writing formal letters to them as well as the owner of the dealership.

To cut it short, we worked out the deal and I left with the car for the mad reduction in price.

Great deal and nice choice in car! I have a white 4cyl 2010 TSX as my daily. It's an awesome DD.

 

Because wardens and judges around here aren't lenient.
