Default new to the district

hello my name is brandy and i am from ft lauderdale, florida but spent the past school year at american university and will be returning in august once again to DC.

i absolutely love s2000's, a couple of close friends down south owned them and i would go to car shows with them.

i was just wondering what the s2k atmosphere was like in my new area? im interested in getting one of my own, but at 20 years old i still dont have a license.

Your "new area" should be immediately considered "home" . Great folks here. Mad love for their S2000s and a fun community. Take some time to review past threads offered on the Mid-Atlantic forum (push out the "time" to over a year since we've had sooooo much "R"- ...<== we don't say the "R"-word out loud around here......we're ragtop owners ya know! ).

Welcome!

Welcome,

But... I don't know guys, a 20-yr-old, w/o a license and wants S for a first car? Is that wise?? This could be tricky, especially in DC metro/traffic. Make sure you go to the driving school (auto-x).

Welcome back to the DC area! I agree with LT--I would be wary of getting an S2000 for a new driver, AND have to deal with protecting, parking and driving around in downtown. If it were me, I would get a beater, if anything, and use Metro most/all of the time. Either way, good luck!
