Default New Engine

I just got a new engine and clutch put in today. I was wondering how many miles you guys recommend I baby the engine before I start drving spirited.

I thought the Honda recommended break-in mileage was 800 for the S, but I may be wrong. I know when I did a new clutch it was 500 miles of babying it.

I'd keep it below 6000 rpm and ~85% throttle for the first 1,000 miles.

I'm sure some more experienced members can chime in and let us know if we're wrong.

I just got my 06, manual said to stay below 5500rpm for the first 600 miles.

Wow 2,500 miles... well you had a fully built motor... would you advise the same thing for a stock motor?
